Manchester City agree Nasri transfer terms with Arsenal

Manchester City agree terms with Arsenal for Samir Nasri.

Samir Nasri's long-rumoured move from Arsenal to Manchester City has become more certain after the two clubs agreed terms.

The French international had been due to travel to Italy for tomorrow's Champions League tie against Udinese, but a statement on the Gunners' website has revealed that the proposed deal has advanced.

"Arsenal can confirm that they have agreed terms for Samir Nasri to move to Manchester City," the statement reads.

"The 24-year-old midfielder, who has spent three years with the Gunners, has been omitted from Arsenal's squad which flies to Udinese this afternoon and instead will travel north for a medical.

"The move will be subject to Nasri passing a medical and formal registration processes."

Nasri is the second key player to leave the Emirates in as many weeks, after former captain Cesc Fabregas joined Barcelona last Monday.

Meanwhile, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger's own participation in tomorrow's second-leg tie against Udinese remains in the balance as he waits to learn whether UEFA will delay his two-match ban.
