Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka is reportedly 'doing everything he can' to force a move to Roma.
The 28-year-old was again a regular for the Gunners during the 2020-21 campaign, making 45 appearances in all competitions, but he is expected to leave during this summer's transfer window.
Roma have emerged as the favourites for the Switzerland international, who is said to be desperate to make the move to Italy to play under Jose Mourinho.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Xhaka is pushing hard to complete a move to Roma, with the midfielder prepared to accept a reduced salary at Stadio Olimpico.
The report claims that the two clubs are yet to come to an agreement over a transfer fee, though, with Arsenal wanting €20m (£17m), which Roma are not prepared to pay at this moment in time.
Xhaka, who has allegedly agreed a four-year contract with the Italian giants, has scored 13 times and registered 20 assists in 220 appearances for the Gunners since arriving at the club in 2016.
