Manchester United will not allow Alex Telles to leave Old Trafford on loan this summer, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Manchester United are reportedly not interested in allowing Alex Telles to leave Old Trafford on loan during this summer's transfer window.

The 28-year-old made 24 appearances for the Red Devils last season following his arrival from Porto but was unable to displace Luke Shaw at left-back.

A recent report claimed that Roma had approached Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side to discuss a potential loan deal for the Brazil international during the 2021-22 campaign.

However, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, the 20-time English champions are not prepared to allow the South American to leave on a short-term basis.

Telles provided four assists for the Red Devils last season, but he only featured on nine occasions in the Premier League, with Shaw keeping hold of the left-back spot due to his impressive performances.

The defender, who was left out of the Brazil squad for this summer's Copa America, still has three years left to run on his contract at Old Trafford.
