Manchester United attacker Amad Diallo, who has been a standout player for the club this term, will allegedly officially sign a new deal at Old Trafford "this week".

Manchester United attacker Amad Diallo will reportedly officially sign a new deal at Old Trafford "this week".

The 22-year-old's existing contract with the 20-time English champions will expire at the end of the season, but there have never been any fears regarding his future with Ruben Amorim's side.

Amad is currently able to speak to foreign clubs over a possible pre-contract, but Red Devils head coach Amorim said last week that the Ivory Coast international was close to penning a new deal at Old Trafford.

"Amad is near," said Amorim when questioned on the attacker's future.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Amad has now come to an agreement with the Red Devils over a new contract until June 2030, and an announcement is expected to arrive before the end of the week.

Amad 'on verge of signing new Man United contract'

"Understand Amad Diallo signs his new contract at Manchester United this week, agreement sealed! All documents have been checked and approved on both club/player sides," Romano posted on X, formerly known as Twitter.

"Higher salary, long term deal and Amad stays as key part of the project. Story from December, confirmed."

Amad has been in impressive form for Man United during the 2024-25 campaign, scoring six goals and registering seven assists in 28 appearances in all competitions.

The forward's last two goals in the Premier League have been against Manchester City and Liverpool, while his record in England's top flight this term reads three goals and six assists in 18 appearances.

Amad, who will allegedly sign until June 2030, joined Man United from Atalanta BC in January 2021, and he has now made 49 appearances for the Red Devils, scoring nine goals and registering nine assists in the process.

Which other Man United players are out of contract this summer?

Harry Maguire is also out of contract at the end of the season, but Amorim revealed last week that the centre-back, who is currently a part of Man United's starting side, is set to sign an extension until June 2026.

"Harry Maguire we are going to trigger our option. I spoke with him [Harry] this morning and I told him he has to improve on the pitch, we need him a lot," the Portuguese told reporters.

"Also, he has to improve as a leader. We all know the situation that he had here but we need him a lot in this moment, so we are going to trigger, happily, the option for him. When you look at our team we are starving for leaders on the pitch. He is a leader, he has to improve that part, he has to improve his game, so we are happy to continue."

Victor Lindelof, Christian Eriksen, Jonny Evans and Tom Heaton are also out of contract this summer; Evans and Heaton could potentially become part of Amorim's coaching staff, with the pair potentially retiring at the end of the season, but Lindelof and Eriksen are both set to depart on free transfers.
