Bolton Wanderers want to sign Arsenal striker Benik Afobe

Bolton manager Owen Coyle wants to raid Arsenal's academy once again in a move for young striker Benik Afobe.

Bolton manager Owen Coyle wants to sign young Arsenal striker Benik Afobe on loan.

Coyle has a strong working relationship with Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger, having brought Jack Wilshere and Ryo Miyachi to the Reebok Stadium in past seasons.

Afobe is one of the Gunners brightest prospects, with the 19-year-old playing an active part in Arsenal's pre season tour of Asia.

The England youth international has already enjoyed loan spells with Huddersfield Town and Reading as he looks to continue his promising progression.

Bolton would like to add Afobe to their forward line ahead of a push to gain promotion back to the Premier League at the first attempt.
