Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly joined the race to sign Galatasaray forward Kerem Akturkoglu, amid interest from Lyon, Atletico Madrid and Wolfsburg also.

The 23-year-old has already racked up 44 appearances for the Turkish giants this season, during which time he has netted 11 goals and provided nine assists.

This campaign has been Akturkoglu's best season in a Galatasaray shirt, having scored just eight goals in total during his first year with the club.

Turkish outlet Aksam Spor reports that North London rivals Spurs and Arsenal have joined other top European sides all fighting to secure the attacker's signature.

Wolfsburg are believed to have made a €15m bid which was turned down by Galatasaray, suggesting that a purchasing club would have to spend in the region of €20m to persuade the Turkish giants to sell.

In total, Akturkoglu has scored 19 goals and provided 12 assists in 73 appearances for the club, where he still has four years left on his contract.
