North London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly ready to do battle over Hoffenheim midfielder Nadiem Amiri next summer.
Amiri is yet to feature for his club so far this season due to injury, but Spurs have been linked with him before and are understood to want to rekindle their interest.
German outlet Bild reports that both Arsenal and Tottenham will monitor the 22-year-old's progress closely when he returns from injury.
The length of time for which Amiri has been sidelined means that a January move is unlikely, but the Premier League duo are both willing to consider making offers next summer if they are impressed by the versatile midfielder.
The Germany Under-21 international reportedly has a €17m (£15.1m) release clause in his contract at Hoffenheim, making him a relatively cheap option in the transfer market.
Schalke 04 are also thought to be interested in Amiri's signature, although Hoffenheim would prefer to sell him to a foreign club.
