Arsenal are close to completing the signing of Schalke 04 striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, according to reports.
The 29-year-old's current contract expires with Die Knappen in the summer and he looks unlikely to agree a fresh deal with his current employers.
According to L'Equipe, who reported the Gunners' signings of Olivier Giroud and Santi Cazorla before the English press earlier this year, Arsenal are close to agreeing personal terms with the forward.
Serie A outfit Inter Milan and fellow Premier League team Liverpool have also been linked with a move for the Dutchman, but it looks as if Arsenal have won the race for Huntelaar for a fee of around £4m.
Huntelaar netted both home and away against the North Londoners in the Champions League earlier this season, as Schalke qualified as group winners above Arsenal.
