Premier League rivals Arsenal and Liverpool are reportedly eager to sign Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Javier Pastore in January.
The Argentine had been a key member of PSG's starting lineup since his arrival from Palermo in 2011, but so far this season he has found it difficult to break into Laurent Blanc's plans.
That is said to have alerted Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger, who tried to capture the 24-year-old towards the end of the most recent summer transfer window.
However, Wenger will face competition from Brendan Rodgers, who has made Pastore one of his major winter transfer targets, according to the Daily Star.
Turkish side Fenerbahce are also known to be monitoring the situation.
