Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere will return to action before the end of the winter transfer window, according to reports.
The former Bolton loanee has been sidelined since England's 2-2 draw with Switzerland in June, but underwent a successful ankle operation in September. The midfielder was required to wear a surgical boot for two months and now appears to be on course to return for start of 2012, according to The Mirror.
Should Arsenal progress, Wilshere would be back in time for the knockout stages of the Champions League.
The 19-year-old is currently slated to return for the reserves on January 24 against Fulham.
