Arsenal manager Jack Wilshere admits that there has been no date set for Jack Wilshere's return from an ankle injury.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has confessed that he has no idea when Jack Wilshere will return to his starting lineup.

The England international has yet to feature for the Gunners this season because of an ankle injury.

Wenger has revealed that a recent scan went positively for Wilshere, although no date has been set as to when the 20-year-old can start training.

"It is difficult to set a deadline on Jack," Wenger told the club's official website. "We go week by week with him.

"But his last scan was very good so we don't have worry anymore. It is about progress and fitness, however I can't set a date."

Wilshere made 35 appearances last season.
