Arsene Wenger: 'Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain out for at least six weeks'

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger confirms that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will be sidelined for at least six weeks with a knee injury.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will be out of action for at least six weeks with a knee injury.

The England international winger was forced off the pitch during Saturday's 3-1 defeat to Aston Villa in the Premier League.

"He will be out for at least six weeks," Wenger told reporters. "We don't think he will need surgery."

Arsenal are currently in Turkey ahead of Wednesday's Champions League qualifying playoff first leg against Fenerbahce.
