Arsenal are reportedly preparing to lodge a second offer for Newcastle United midfielder Yohan Cabaye.
The Gunners made a bid of £10m for the 27-year-old on Monday.
Newcastle boss Alan Pardew described the bid as "unacceptable" and it was swiftly rejected. Pardew is understood to value Cabaye at £20m.
However, according to The Sun, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger hopes that a new offer of £13m will be enough.
Cabaye, who joined the Magpies from Lille in a £4.8m move in July 2011, has three years left to run on his current contract.
