Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud is "ahead of schedule" in his recovery from a broken foot, according to his manager Arsene Wenger.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has revealed that Olivier Giroud is "ahead of schedule" in his recovery from a broken foot.

The France international was injured in the Gunners' 2-2 draw with Everton back in August and was expected to be sidelined into the New Year, but Wenger delivered some positive news on his player's convalescence.

"Olivier Giroud is recovering very well," Wenger told beIN Sports.

"I believe he is ahead of schedule in terms of rehabilitation. The operation went perfectly."

Giroud was signed from Montpellier back in 2012.
