Theo Walcott: 'Goal-shy Arsenal must be clinical at Chelsea'

Theo Walcott says that Arsenal's goal-shy start to the Premier League season underlines the importance of taking their chances at Chelsea.

Theo Walcott has reminded Arsenal of the importance of taking their chances as they prepare to visit Premier League champions Chelsea on Saturday morning.

Having registered just five league goals this season - two of which were own goals - the Gunners have yet to find their fluency in the final third, and Walcott says that the low-profile start underlines the need to be clinical at Stamford Bridge.

Arsene Wenger's side beat Chelsea to clinch the Community Shield in August, and the 26-year-old believes that drawing on that win can go a long way toward helping them repeat the feat today.

"You remember what you did right and the positives from the game come out from it," the England ace told Arsenal's official website.

"We just need to do the basics again - we need to do the right things with everyone on it and [doing] their job defensively as well.

"It will be a tight game, I'm sure, but we need to make sure we take our chances. That's key."

Wenger earlier revealed that he was undecided over whether or not to start Walcott or striking rival Olivier Giroud as the Gunners' spearhead.
