The father of Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny has criticised manager Arsene Wenger over the treatment of the shot-stopper.
Maciej Szczesny has claimed that the French boss, who dropped Szczesny for the Gunners' last two fixtures, is to blame for the Poland international's dip in form.
"It is not the way the boss should behave. Wojciech has had two serious injuries," The Independent quotes Szczesny's father as saying. "He played with one in April and May [last year]. He shouldn't have agreed to play that time, but the coach insisted.
"Wenger was playing with the young man's good health and Wojciech agreed foolishly. After seven weeks out Wojciech trained for just seven days and played the match. How on earth can he be on his highest form?"
Szczesny recently claimed that he wants to stay at the Emirates.
