David Seaman: 'Arsene Wenger criticism unfair'

Former Arsenal goalkeeper David Seaman believes that recent criticism of manager Arsene Wenger is "unfair".

Former Arsenal goalkeeper David Seaman has branded criticism of manager Arsene Wenger "unfair".

A section of Gunners fans protested against the Frenchman during Saturday's 1-0 win at West Bromwich Albion, suggesting that he should leave the club.

However, Seaman believes that the 65-year-old is the right man to lead Arsenal forward in the coming years.

"I love Arsene," he told Sky Sports News. "He is the best thing that has ever happened to Arsenal and the criticism for me is unfair.

"He's a great guy and a great coach and if he left Arsenal, he would be touted for every top job in Europe, no problem at all."

Arsenal are back in action tonight when they welcome Southampton to the Emirates Stadium in the Premier League.
