Arsenal's Mesut Ozil faces four weeks out of action with hamstring injury

Arsene Wenger says that Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil is likely to spend four weeks on the sidelines with a hamstring injury.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has claimed that midfielder Mesut Ozil is likely to be on the sidelines for around four weeks with a hamstring injury.

The German midfielder was expected to have a stint out of action after he picked up the problem during the Gunners' Champions League exit to Bayern Munich on Tuesday.

While there is no exact time for Ozil's return, Wenger believes that the former Real Madrid star could be absent for between three to six weeks.

Wenger said in a press conference: "When the minimum is three, the maximum is six, so let's say four weeks out."

Ozil, whose recent performances have been widely criticised, has vowed to come back "stronger" from his injury blow.
