Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has revealed that scoring his first England goal on Friday will finally end his father's persistent nagging.
Chamberlain broke his duck at international level with a strike in the 5-0 win over San Marino in his eighth England match.
The Arsenal forward told The Sun that his dad has been piling on the pressure to start scoring regularly for Roy Hodgson's side.
He said: "It's a relief to get the monkey off my back.
"I've been looking for my first goal for England and my dad's been pushing me, telling me I need to get a goal."
Alex's father Mark Chamberlain also scored one England goal in eight international appearances with a solitary strike against Luxembourg on his debut.
