Per Mertesacker: 'Arsenal ready to try different approach against Chelsea'

Per Mertesacker is certain that Arsenal can beat Chelsea with a different approach at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

Per Mertesacker has claimed that Arsenal are ready to try a different approach ahead of their meeting with Chelsea on Sunday.

The Gunners have been beaten on their previous two visits to Stamford Bridge, but Mertesacker is confident that the Premier League leaders will be given a tough test on this occasion.

"Obviously it is a good lift. We have got good confidence at the moment and will try to implement that into the game on Sunday," the German defender is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News. "I think we will try new things on Sunday to get a better result than last year.

"We know we can do better than the two consecutive seasons before, and I think we will try new things on Sunday to get a better result than last year."

Arsenal lost 6-0 to Chelsea in their most recent clash in March.
