Ian Wright has criticised supporters of former club Arsenal after seeing a banner unfurled calling for manager Arsene Wenger's head.
The Gunners, who have fallen off the pace in the Premier League in recent weeks, cruised into the last eight of the FA Cup by seeing off Hull City 4-0 on Tuesday evening.
Despite the convincing nature of the victory, a small section of fans in the away stand at the KC Stadium called for Wenger to resign at full time, with a banner reading "Arsene thanks for the memories but it's time to say goodbye".
Speaking after the match, Wright - himself a critic of Wenger in the past - told BT Sport: "It's very disappointing. Yes, we've had a couple of bad results but it's not over by any stretch of the imagination.
"A 4-0 win tonight, it's really disappointing to see that. The fact is, Arsene Wenger's doing his best. Sometimes they have to look at the players and the way they've performed.
"You can't completely keep caning the manager like that. They won it comfortably and they were under pressure going into this game. To see that sign is just annoying."
Arsenal will now face Watford at the quarter-final stage of the competition next weekend.
