Kieran Gibbs delighted by Arsenal triumph

Kieran Gibbs describes Arsenal's 1-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur as a "fantastic" result in their quest for the Premier League title.

Arsenal defender Kieran Gibbs has described the team's 1-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur as "fantastic".

The Gunners kept their Premier League title aspirations alive on Sunday as Tomas Rosicky's early goal separated the local rivals at White Hart Lane.

Despite admitting that the team performed below par, Gibbs is happy that they were able to come away with the points.

"We have played a lot better and they dominated for some spells," he told the club's official website. "We have to take it as a positive that we scored early. You have seen in the past that we can concede after scoring but here we were fantastic.

"We know that in some games we're going to dominate for the 90 minutes and some games we're not. It was a good test to come here, especially in a derby as well when you know the performance isn't just what you need - it's the result as well."

Arsenal are back in action on Saturday when they make the trip to title rivals Chelsea.
