Abou Diaby eyes Arsenal return "very soon"

Arsenal midfielder Abou Diaby reveals that he hopes to be back in training "very soon" following a serious knee injury.

Arsenal midfielder Abou Diaby has revealed that he hopes to return to training "very soon" following a serious knee injury.

The Frenchman, 27, has been out of action since March 2013 with knee ligament damage.

However, Diaby is confident that he will be able to play for the Gunners again before the end of the season.

"I will take stock with Arsenal medical staff early in April, but I hope to resume collective training sessions very soon," he told France Football.

"My priorities? Feeling fine and play again before the end of the season."

Diaby joined Arsenal from Auxerre in 2006 but has been blighted by injuries during his time at the Emirates Stadium.
