Yossi Benayoun claims that Arsenal fans have forgotten Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri.

Arsenal midfielder Yossi Benayoun has said that the club's supporters have already forgotten Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri.

The former Gunners stars – who were among the team's most influential midfielders during their time at the Emirates – both left the side this summer, much to the fans' disappointment.

However, following the London club's success with new signings this season, the Israel international believes that Arsenal have now moved on.

"Fabregas and Nasri are both good players," he told The Mirror. "Maybe the fans expected other names, or bigger names.

"But all the players bought on the last day have proved themselves and we are playing much better and winning games.

"The supporters now understand that we have a good team with a lot of quality, and I think they have forgotten about the other players already."

Benayoun arrived at the Emirates on a season-long loan from Chelsea this summer.
