Mario Balotelli says that he would "love" to play alongside Arsenal striker Robin van Persie for Manchester City next season.

Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli has admitted that he would "love" Arsenal frontman Robin van Persie to move to the Etihad Stadium this summer.

The 28-year-old Dutchman revealed yesterday that he has no intention of signing a new contract at the Emirates.

The Netherlands international has also been linked with Real Madrid and Barcelona but Balotelli is hoping that Van Persie decides to move to the North West of England.

"Will Robin move up to us? I would love to play with him," ESPN quotes Balotelli as saying.

Van Persie currently has one year remaining on his contract and Arsenal could force the hitman to see out his final year at the Premier League club.
