Arsenal defender Rob Holding may be facing a four-week spell on the sidelines with a hamstring problem, according to a report.

Arsenal defender Rob Holding could reportedly be set for a month on the sidelines with the hamstring injury he suffered at the Etihad Stadiun.

The 25-year-old was initially named in Mikel Arteta's starting lineup for Arsenal's game against Manchester City at the weekend but was replaced by David Luiz after picking up the problem while warming up.

Now the Daily Mail reports that the Englishman may be out of action for a number of weeks after having a scan on the injury, which could see him miss crunch matches against Leicester City and Manchester United.

The former Bolton Wanderers man has become a regular under Arteta despite being linked with a move away in the summer, turning out six times for the Gunners already this season.

Arsenal's next fixture sees them make the journey to Austria to take on Rapid Vienna in the Europa League on Thursday evening, with Arteta's men then set to take on Leicester in the Premier League this Sunday.
