Half-Time Report: Grant Holt gives Norwich City shock lead

Grant Holt's 19th-minute goal is all that separates Norwich and Arsenal at half-time of their match this evening.

Norwich have taken a surprise 1-0 lead into half-time of their match against Arsenal this evening courtesy of a Grant Holt goal.

The hosts made a bright start to the half as Wes Hoolahan found Anthony Pilkington, who cut inside before dragging his shot wide from 25 yards out.

Arsenal responded with a chance of their own minutes later after some neat build-up play allowed Lukas Podolski to shoot, but the Germany international could not hit the target.

The Canaries took a shock lead in the 19th minute when Alexander Tettey's strike was parried by Vito Mannone, but only as far as Holt who slipped the ball into the empty net.

Michael Turner should have made it 2-0 with 10 minutes left of the half as he met a cross at the near post but just couldn't get enough on his header.
