Mathieu Flamini: 'FA Cup success can change mentality'

Mathieu Flamini believes that success in the FA Cup will change the mentality at Arsenal.

Arsenal midfielder Mathieu Flamini has claimed that success in the FA Cup can change the mentality at the club.

The Gunners take on Hull City at Wembley on Saturday looking to end a trophy drought which has gone on for nine years, but Flamini believes that lifting the trophy will quickly alter the attitude at the Emirates Stadium.

"Winning titles and trophies is important - for the future, it will build a mentality," he told the club's website. "It is important to get into your head that you need to meet the objectives you set at the start of a season.

"When Arsenal had their success, they had a winning mentality. Once you win one, it is in your head. It becomes part of you. You start with one and then your objectives become higher and higher."

Arsene Wenger is looking for his fifth triumph in the competition.
