The buildup to the summer transfer window has now begun, with rumours and speculation continuing to swirl as Arsenal eye possible reinforcements.
The Gunners spent more than many expected during the summer - most notably their club-record purchase of Nicolas Pepe - but were more reserved in January as they focused on bolstering their defensive options.
Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest news on possible comings and goings at the Emirates Stadium.
Friday morning's Arsenal transfer talk news roundup:
Arsenal 'must sell before they can buy this summer'
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta will reportedly have to sell players before he can bring new signings to the club during this summer's transfer window.
Following Wednesday's 2-1 win over Liverpool, the Gunners manager admitted that he had "big concerns" over the size of the club's transfer budget ahead of the 2020-21 campaign.
According to The Mirror, due to the financial impact of the coronavirus outbreak, the Spaniard must sell before he can buy in the upcoming market.
The report claims that Arsenal would lose £30m in revenue if they fail to qualify for the Europa League next season, which would further add to the club's financial problems.
The capital side are currently ninth in the Premier League table, but they would qualify for the group stages of the 2020-21 Europa League if they were to lift this season's FA Cup.
The Gunners, though, are believed to have held talks over a possible deal for free agent Malang Sarr.
Manchester City 'interested in Nicolas Tagliafico'
Manchester City are reportedly interested in signing Ajax defender Nicolas Tagliafico during this summer's transfer window.
The 27-year-old recently suggested that he would be leaving his Dutch club ahead of the 2020-21 campaign, and a number of clubs are believed to be in the hunt for his signature.
Arsenal, Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona are just three of the teams to be linked with the Argentina international, who could allegedly be available for a figure in the region of £22m.
However, according to Argentinean journalist Lucas Scagliola, City have also identified the left-back as a potential transfer target in the upcoming market.
Tagliafico enjoyed an impressive 2019-20 campaign for Ajax, scoring five times and contributing seven assists in 38 appearances in all competitions.
The defender's current contract in Amsterdam has little under two years left to run.
