Besnik Hasi hails memorable Anderlecht comeback

Anderlecht manager Besnik Hasi says that his side capitalised on Arsenal's doubtfulness in order to salvage a 3-3 draw at the Emirates Stadium last night.

Anderlecht manager Besnik Hasi has declared himself "very satisfied" with the spirit shown by his side to battle back against Arsenal to salvage a 3-3 draw last night.

The Purple & Whites looked down and out when Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain put the hosts three goals to the good shortly before the hour, but Aleksandar Mitrovic rounded off a memorable comeback in the dying stages of the contest following Anthony Vanden Borre's double.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger failed to shake hands with Hasi at full time, although the Albanian later played down the incident.

"I didn't get a hand [from Wenger] but I don't know [why]," FIFA.com quotes him as saying. "I was running with my players to celebrate.

"I'm very satisfied with the spirit of my young team. In difficult moments they showed their character and quality. At 3-0 you can say the game is over, but we made a few changes and at 3-1 we grew in confidence. You could see Arsenal have a few doubts.

"I'm a young coach and I hope I'm going to stay here for a long time, but this is going to stay in my memory for sure."

Anderlecht trail Arsenal by five points in Group D, needing to win both of their remaining games in order to stand any chance of progressing to the knockout stages.
