London Welsh have confirmed the acquisition of former Plymouth Albion hooker Gareth Evans.
The 30-year-old has signed a contract with the newly-promoted Premier League side following 24 Championship appearances with Plymouth last season.
"It's a massive opportunity and I'm really looking forward to next season," Evans told the club's official website. "The Aviva Premiership is a massive challenge but we'll see how we get on.
"Unlike in the Championship we'll really have to hit the ground running, but hopefully with Lyn in charge he'll guide us through."
Evans has only spent two seasons at hooker after converting from a back-row position during his six years at Brickfields.
