Leeds Rhinos cruise to sixth straight win in Super League

Leeds Rhinos return to the top of the Super League following a 28-12 win over Wigan Warriors.

Leeds Rhinos have returned to the top of the Super League table following a comfortable 28-12 win over Wigan Warriors this evening.

The home side dominated possession in the opening 20 minutes, resulting in early tries for Danny McGuire and Zak Hardaker.

The reigning champions began to see more of the ball, and a quick move from Tony Clubb allowed Wigan to get on the board 22 minutes in, although Tom Briscoe ensured that Leeds were 10 points clear at the break.

The Rhinos extended their lead further at the start of the second half when Ryan Hall went over in the corner for the team's fourth try of the night.

Leeds had chances to extend their lead, but had a try disallowed before Kallum Watkins slipped while sprinting for the line, but the Warriors were able to add a consolation inside the final five minutes through Scott Taylor before Liam Sutcliffe found a fifth for the home side.

The win is Leeds's sixth in a row in all competitions.
