Castleford Tigers pounce on Wakefield Trinity Wildcats errors

Wakefield Trinity Wildcats fall to their 13th straight Super League defeat, going down 56-16 to the Castleford Tigers in the final game of Magic Weekend.

Castleford Tigers have inflicted a 13th straight defeat on Wakefield Trinity Wildcats in Super League's final game of Magic Weekend at St James' Park.

Denny Solomona was the star of the show in a dominant performance from Castleford, scoring four of their 10 tries at the home of Newcastle United.

The Tigers went over three times in the opening 10 minutes to race out to a 16-0 lead, but Wakefield hit back quickly with two tries in two minutes to cut the lead to four.

That was as close as the Wildcats got, with Castleford pouncing on some sloppy mistakes at the back to pull away in the second half.

The Tigers scored 34 unanswered points after the interval to run out 56-16 winners, with Ashley Gibson going over three times.
