British boxer Amir Khan has confirmed that he was involved in a car accident while training in the United States.
The 26-year-old revealed on Twitter that he had suffered neck and back pain after a drunk-driver slammed into his vehicle while in San Francisco.
Khan wrote: "Hit by a drunk driver on the way to the gym. Police are here and arrested the man. Back neck hurts. He hit us while we was parked full speed. No sparring or gym today."
Khan is hoping to secure a bout with Floyd Mayweather Jr next year.
