Benik Afobe: Back-to-back wins "massive"

Striker Benik Afobe says that the international break has come at the wrong time for Wolverhampton Wanderers after they recorded back-to-back wins.

Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Benik Afobe has admitted that recording successive wins in the Championship is a "massive thing" for the club.

Kenny Jackett's outfit have struggled for consistency during the early weeks of the season, but two goals from Afobe helped Wolves see off Huddersfield Town by a 3-0 scoreline, just four days after they beat Fulham at Craven Cottage.

The 22-year-old told Sky Sports News: "We had a good pre-season but results have not really gone our way this season. To get three goals today and three goals on Tuesday is a massive thing.

"We just want to build on it now. The international break has come at the wrong time because we wanted to carry on winning games but we will rest up and be ready for the match with Derby."

Wolves have moved into sixth position in the Championship standings.
