West Ham United are not planning on turning midfielder Alex Kral's loan move into a permanent transfer, according to a report.

West Ham United have planned against turning Alex Kral's loan move into a permanent transfer, according to a report.

The Czech Republic international is currently on loan at the Hammers from Russian side Spartak Moscow, having moved to the Premier League on the temporary deal last summer.

A clause was inserted into the deal that would allow David Moyes's side to make the transfer a permanent one, should they be impressed by the 23-year-old.

However, according to Foot Mercato, West Ham have decided not to trigger that option, with the midfielder having struggled to earn regular first-team football at the London Stadium.

Kral has featured in just one Premier League minute all season up to this point, which came in the 4-1 win at Watford back on December 28.

Although he has appeared regularly in the various cup competitions that West Ham have competed in this season, Kral's last action came in the 2-1 comeback win against Kidderminster Harriers back on February 5, when he was substituted off at half time.

The report does continue with Ligue 1 side Montpellier HSC's interest in moving for the midfielder, with him unlikely to return to his parent club due to the ongoing invasion of Russia into Ukraine.
