West Ham United forward Andy Carroll is handed a start in the club's Premier League fixture against West Bromwich Albion.

West Ham United forward Andy Carroll has been handed a start in the club's Premier League fixture against West Bromwich Albion.

Carroll has not started a game under David Moyes since November 24, but the striker is given a chance in the first XI in place of Andre Ayew.

Moyes's other alteration comes in defence with Winston Reid replacing James Collins, while Mark Noble is fit enough to take a spot among the replacements.

West Brom head coach Alan Pardew has been unhappy with the club's fixture list and chooses to make four changes for his side's second match in three days.

Claudio Yacob, Grzegorz Krychowiak, James McClean and Salomon Rondon have all been brought back into the team as the Baggies look to get the better of their relegation rivals.

Gareth Barry misses out altogether, but Chris Brunt, Jake Livermore and Hal Robson-Kanu have all been selected on the bench.

West Ham United: Adrian; Reid, Ogbonna, Cresswell; Zabaleta, Kouyate, Obiang, Masuaku; Lanzini, Arnautovic, Carroll
Subs: Hart, Rice, Noble, Quina, Haksabanovic, Ayew, Hernandez

West Bromwich Albion: Foster; Dawson, Hegazi, Evans, Gibbs; Yacob, Krychowiak, McClean, Rodriguez, Phillips; Rondon
