Matthew Taylor happy with role in midfield

Matthew Taylor admits that he is happy to be playing a key role for West Ham United in midfield.

Matthew Taylor has claimed that he is willing to play in any position for West Ham United if it means he is involved on a regular basis.

The 32-year-old has been used in midfield by Sam Allardyce recently and admits that he is happy to be playing a key role for the Hammers again.

"I am just enjoying my football to be honest," Taylor told the Newham Recorder.

"I'm enjoying my chance to play because the older you get, the more you appreciate playing football because it won't be around forever.

"So from that point of view I am really enjoying it and if I can contribute to the team, I will be really happy with that."

Taylor has started the last 10 games for West Ham, who are currently 10th in the Premier League.
