West Bromwich Albion manager Tony Pulis has reportedly identified Kerim Frei as a potential alternative wide addition to Matt Phillips.
It is believed that Pulis failed in a pursuit of Queens Park Rangers winger Phillips during the summer transfer window, but he will reignite his interest next month.
However, if that move is rejected by new QPR boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, Pulis has decided to focus his attention on Besiktas's Frei, according to The Mirror.
The report adds that were the former Fulham player to arrive at The Hawthorns, it would initially be on a loan basis.
Norwich City and Newcastle United are also said to have shown an interest in the 22-year-old over recent weeks.
