Besiktas have confirmed that they are interested in a deal for Arsenal's Colombian goalkeeper David Ospina.
The Turkish side were believed to have made contact over the Gunners' number two during the summer but a formal move never materialised, although rumours have reignited in recent weeks as the January transfer window approaches.
"We are interested in Ospina," confirmed Besiktas vice-president Ahmet Nur Cebi. "Him and goalkeepers of his calibre, but just because we want him does not mean he will come.
"We have to agree with his club and take his contract into consideration."
Ospina, 27, is currently behind Petr Cech in the pecking order at Arsenal, who have Wojciech Szczesny on loan at Roma and Emiliano Martinez out at Wolverhampton Wanderers until the end of the season.
