West Brom's James Morrison: 'Beating Stoke City all down to Tony Pulis'

James Morrison says that West Bromwich Albion's rare victory over Stoke City is all down to manager Tony Pulis.

West Bromwich Albion midfielder James Morrison has given credit to manager Tony Pulis following their victory over Stoke City at the weekend.

Brown Ideye's goal in the first half was enough for the Baggies to seal a 1-0 win at The Hawthorns - their first victory at home against Stoke since 2003.

Pulis spent eight years in charge of the Potters and Morrison believes that the coach's knowledge proved crucial.

"Our record is pretty bad against Stoke," Morrison told the club's official website. "It's probably down to Tony now he's on our side - they always seemed to beat us when he was manager there.

"He just wanted a reaction. That's all you can do when you get a defeat. We worked as a team."

The Baggies are currently 13th in the Premier League table.
