Bob Bradley: "We are our own worst enemy"

Swansea City manager Bob Bradley admits that his side are their "own worst enemy" as they fall to their 12th defeat of the season.

Swansea City manager Bob Bradley has admitted that his side are their "own worst enemy" after they slumped to their 12th defeat of the season.

The Welsh side plunged further into relegation danger with a devastating 4-1 home defeat to West Ham United on Boxing Day, leaving them four points from safety as the halfway point of the season approaches.

"We are our own worst enemy. We're in such a rut that no matter how we start a game we find a way to go down. Immediately the confidence goes," Bradley told reporters afterwards.

"Our heads dropped. There was still this belief at half time that there are 45 minutes to go and we spoke about doing it a smart way - not a crazy way - and from there having a bit more urgency. But the situation came where we didn't deal with [Dimitri] Payet's corner well enough, we had people in position and we paid the price."

Next up for the basement side is a home encounter with Bournemouth on New Year's Eve.
