Swansea City midfielder Leon Britton has admitted that their Europa League opponents Malmo will have an edge in terms of fitness when the two sides meet next week.
The Swans are bidding to progress through to the group stage of a European competition for the first time, but Britton insists that they have been handed one of the toughest draws of the third qualifying round.
The 30-year-old told the South Wales Evening Post: "It's a tough draw, I think Malmo have a got a good history in Europe and they're one of the best teams in Sweden.
"Fitness-wise, they're going to be a little bit ahead of ourselves. We're trying to get there in pre-season, but it's never the same.
"They will have the slight advantage in conditioning but the aim all pre-season has been to make sure that we hit the ground running on August 1."
Malmo thrashed Hibernian 7-0 on Thursday night to seal their progress to the next round.
