Tottenham Hotspur's Mauricio Pochettino wants just one transfer window a year

Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino believes that there should be just one transfer window a year, due to the disruptive speculation.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino believes that there should only be one transfer window per year, to prevent players from getting distracted by speculation.

The North London outfit have had many questions raised over their players, including the futures of Aaron Lennon and Paulinho.

Yesterday, it was confirmed that Spurs full-back Kyle Naughton had joined Swansea City in a deal reportedly worth £5m.

"Yes it is difficult," The Express quotes Pochettino as saying. "Players pick up injuries and there are some that get a lot of interest from various clubs. It is good for football fans but it doesn't help the head coach.

"In football it always happens and you have players who want to play more or aren't happy. We need to keep players focused on their games and not worry about speculation. Maybe it is better to have one window, so you can manage all situations for players."

This weekend, Spurs will take on Leicester City in the fourth round of the FA Cup.
