Experienced forward Fernando Llorente will reportedly still leave Tottenham Hotspur on a free transfer at the end of the season.

Fernando Llorente will reportedly still leave Tottenham Hotspur on a free transfer this summer despite playing an important role for Mauricio Pochettino's side over the last few months.

Llorente was strongly linked with a move away from Spurs in January, but ultimately remained at the club.

The 34-year-old has contributed eight goals in 33 appearances for his London side this term, and despite netting just once in the Premier League during the 2018-19 campaign, the Spaniard has played his role in helping the team secure a spot in the Champions League final.

Indeed, the experienced forward impressed off the bench in last week's 3-2 win at Ajax, and he has contributed two goals and one assist in Europe this term.

According to The Sun, though, Llorente will still be leaving the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on a free transfer when his contract expires at the end of June.

The striker joined Spurs in August 2017 after scoring 15 Premier League goals for Welsh outfit Swansea City during the 2016-17 season.
