Roma coach Rudi Garcia deflated by draw with CSKA Moscow

Roma coach Rudi Garcia describes his side's dramatic draw with CSKA Moscow in the Champions League as "really painful".

Roma coach Rudi Garcia has admitted that his side's 1-1 draw with CSKA Moscow in the Champions League was "really painful".

The Italians saw their chances of reaching the last 16 suffer a blow on Tuesday as a 94th-minute equaliser for CSKA saw the spoils shared in Russia.

The result has left Roma, CSKA and Manchester City level on five points going into the final round of fixtures in Group E, though it is the Serie A side who occupy second place in the standings.

"A draw away from home is never negative, but the way it came about was really painful," Garcia told Gazzetta dello Sport. "It's a real shame as I don't recall CSKA having any serious chances.

"But the fact is that we didn't score a second, even though we had opportunities to do so, and when you don't kill the game off then this is what happens."

Roma are back in Champions League action on December 10 when they host Manchester City.
