Real Madrid are allegedly on the brink of completing the transfer of Flamengo youngster Reinier on a long-term contract.

Real Madrid are reportedly closing in on the signing of Flamengo youngster Reinier.

Despite being just 17 years of age, Reinier has already made an impact in the senior ranks at Flamengo, contributing six goals from 14 league appearances.

The teenager's form has led to speculation regarding a potential switch to Real, who are said to have been in discussions with the player's representatives.

According to AS, an agreement is already in place with the playmaker and the Brazilian side ahead of a switch later in the January transfer window.

The report suggests that a six-and-a-half-year contract will be made official when Reinier turns 18 on January 19.

Real are said to be willing to pay €30m (£25.56m) for the prospect.
