Gary Lineker: Alan Pardew headbutt "inexcusable"

Former England international Gary Lineker says that Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew's headbutt on Hull City midfielder David Meyler is "inexcusable".

Former England international Gary Lineker has described Alan Pardew's headbutt on David Meyler as "inexcusable".

The Newcastle United manager was sent to the stands during the 4-1 win over Hull City after approaching the midfielder and appearing to make head-to-head contact with him.

The 'Match of the Day' presenter tweeted: "Alan Pardew has just headbutted David Meyler. Yes headbutted. Inexcusable from a manager."

Pardew apologised after the Premier League match, saying that he regretted his actions.
