Inter Milan CEO Guiseppe Marotta says that the club are working to sign Barcelona-linked Marcelo Brozovic to a new deal.

Inter Milan CEO Guiseppe Marotta has said that Marcelo Brozovic 'wants to stay at San Siro', with the club working to sign him to a new contract "as soon as possible".

The 29-year-old has again been a key player for the Italian side this term, making 30 appearances in all competitions, contributing one goal and two assists in the process.

Brozovic's current deal with Inter is due to expire at the end of June, and a recent report claimed that Barcelona are determined to sign him on a free transfer.

However, Marotta has insisted that the Croatia international is keen to extend his stay with the Black and Blues, with the club hoping "to sign the paperworks quickly".

"Brozovic wants to stay here, we want to continue with him as a key player. There's no doubt. We're working to complete the new contract as soon as possible. We hope to sign the paperworks quickly", Marotta told DAZN.

Newcastle United, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur have also been credited with an interest in the Croatian, who has featured on 272 occasions for Inter since arriving from Dinamo Zagreb.
