AC Milan have reportedly ended their interest in signing Manchester United midfielder Nemanja Matic.
Before and during the January transfer window, Milan were heavily linked with an approach for the Serbia international, who has found himself in and out of the starting lineup this season.
However, the 31-year-old has recently extended his contract at Old Trafford, which will keep him at the Premier League giants until 2021.
According to Calciomercato, Milan have no intention of returning with a bid for the player in the future.
The report claims that the sacking of director Zvonimir Boban - an admirer of Matic - had led to the club shelving their interest.
CEO Ivan Gazidis is allegedly keen to sign younger players during the next transfer window.
